New FECAVA Endocrinology Factsheets for Companion Animal Veterinarians

Dear colleagues and friends,

The FECAVA Basic Practices in Endocrinology project, delivered across 2023–2025, has provided companion animal veterinarians with practical, evidence-based guidance on the diagnosis and management of the most common endocrine diseases in daily clinical practice.

The project is scientifically led by Dr Hans Kooistra and Dr Federico Fracassi, EBVS® European Veterinary Specialists in Small Animal Internal Medicine, with the scientific support of Dechra. Through lectures, congress sessions, and expert-developed resources, complex endocrine medicine has been translated into clear, clinically applicable guidance for both first-opinion and referral veterinarians.

With Dechra’s valued support, FECAVA has developed a series of concise Endocrinology Factsheets focusing on diagnostic pathways, laboratory interpretation, treatment choices, and long-term case management.

Published Endocrinology Factsheet Topics include:

Veterinary professionals are encouraged to visit the FECAVA website, access the factsheets, and actively integrate these expert-led resources into daily clinical workflows.
